Lara Stone Was Fired From Modelling Job For Being Three Months Pregnant

It's hard to believe Lara Stone could ever be criticised for being "too fat" but at just three months pregnant, the model was told just that as she arrived at a fashion shoot.

Stone, who has previously worked with the likes of Calvin Klein and L'Oreal, was sacked from the job soon after she confirmed her pregnancy in 2012. She has recently revealed how this left her feeling "really upset" at the time.

"I hadn't yet had my three-month scan and I felt really vulnerable about everything," Stone told the London Evening Standard.

"I no longer had a job. That was it – I had to just stop everything that I knew, the way my life was."

Alfred, her first son with husband David Walliams, was born in May 2013, but Stone says brands have been questioning her size since she gave birth.

"I've had a few meetings because when they hear pregnancy they freak out a bit, so they need to see if I fit in their clothes," she added.

Surely the pictures of Lara wearing a vintage Versace bustier and skirt at this year's amfAR Gala are proof that Lara looks incredible in everything she wears. And who else could bring out her inner Barbie so brilliantly at Cannes Film Festival?
