Milan Fashion Week: Gucci Autumn/Winter 2014

Gucci'sAutumn/Winter 2014 catwalk showed us exactly how to work a leather skirt, knee high boot and powder pink Lamb shearling coat.

Milan Fashion Week has started, Anna Wintour is in the city and she's already FRowing like a boss. Alongside the stunning, leather-clad Salma Hayek.

Think feminine shades across sharp, tailored pieces: double breasted coats, silk shirts, fabulous boxy furs and a whole lot of leather. Texture was everything.

Dresses had leather skirts and OTT bead and crystal embellishment, sharp collars and embroidered bibs. Footwear was knee high, patent and/or print. The mood was sexy 1960s does modern dressing and layers of it.

Here's what you need to know in order to get the Gucci look down this A/W:

1. Wear colour framed Aviators with everything. Indoors, outdoors this is your must-have accessory so own it.

2. Snakeskin print. London Fashion Week coveted this trend too ergo it's not one to shy out on. Go matchy-matchy top and bottoms or just invest in the boots. FYI the pastel blue snakeskin boots are TO DIE FOR.

3. Oversized shearling furs equals total siren. Wear yours over every look and do that colour co-ordinated thing with the specs, the handbags and the satchel style hand-helds.

4. Pastel palette. Spearmint greens, blues, lavender, powdery pinks and off-yellows.

Gucci has gone girly on the colourways but these looks are all about the modern day woman, check out the full catwalk show right here:
