Mischa Barton Opts For Unusual Plunging Maxi Dress At 8th Annual BritWeek In LA

Mischa Barton had heads in a spin when she was spotted leaving the 8th Annual BritWeek launch party in LA on Tuesday night in a very unusual choice of frock.

The 28-year-old former star of The OC certainly stood out from the crown in a hippy dippy sheer maxi dress with plunging (wait no, is that nude mesh!?) neckline.

Teaming her Earth Mother look with a statement necklace and nude cross body bag, we hardly recognised the actress as she made a quick dash from the party - an event which saw her rub shoulders with a very random guest list including Seal, Chesney Hawkes and Lady Victoria Hervey.

The sighting comes after Mischa admitted that she's pretty peed off to be primarily known for her role as the troubled Marissa Cooper in The OC in the 00s.

While she'd been acting since childhood the teen drama catapulted her to international superstardom. We're not sure about you but we still are were massive fans of the show, especially the episodes in Tijuana (shit always went down in Tijuana!), but can understand why she's sick and tired of the Marissa tag.

According to EntertainmentWise, when asked if the notoriety of the show "annoys" her, she admitted: "Yes... but what are you gonna do?

"There's just so much more to the work I've done."

Still, the actress admitted she was still glad to have been part of such an epic television series.

"It makes me really happy that the show had such a cultural impact," she said. "It made me internationally famous.

"There's literally nowhere in the world I can go where people haven't seen it."
