A Moroccan woman has safely delivered her baby boy while in mid-air as she flew from Casablanca to Bologna!
The 39-year-old mum is reported to have experienced her first contractions just as the plane took off, and went on to deliver her little boy before landing.
Luckily for her, one of the other passengers on the Royal Air Maroc flight was a midwife who assisted the cabin crew throughout the delivery.
Mother and baby were whisked off to Barcelona's Sant Joan de Deu hospital after making an emergency stop-over at the Spanish El Prat airport on Sunday night.
Sources at the hospital said they could not reveal her identity, but the Telegraph reports the woman was flying to Italy for a holiday when her baby decided to arrive 'several' weeks early.
The diverted flight resumed its journey to Bologna after mum and baby were offloaded – with only a 50 minute delay for the other passengers!
