Zuhair Murad sent glittering, gauzy and sequin embellished gowns down the catwalk at his Spring/Summer 2014 couture show in Paris on Thursday.

There were floor-length tulle styles, strapless feather-laden numbers and lavender, pink and pretty-making pastels. All of it accessorised with gold leaf waist belts - aside from the actual bridal gown that was saved for the finale.

As far as full-skirted, floral applique, sweetheart neckline wedding dresses go, this design was just spectacular. It was complete with a floor-length veil which also had intricate floral detailing.

The line up was everything you'd expect of couture and Zuhair - it was farfetched and fantasy but the mix of sheer with plunging necklines and slinky silhouettes made it contemporary and sexy.

As for the elfin beauty: the perfectly middle-parted down-dos and the rose lips/cheeks? The look was illuminating with a natural flower garden vibe.
