Sarah Burton closed the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week with her spectacular Spring/Summer 2014 collection for Alexander McQueen.

So - what did we learn from the show?

1. Ostrich feathers can look glamorous, elegant and chic, all at the same time.

2. Never mind pretty pastels, there's no better colour combination than red and black.

3. Wear peplums, ruffles and skater skirts - creating volume is key next season.

4. If you're not keen on wearing a helmet, embrace Burton's tribal armour with metallic cuffs and belts.

5. When it comes to print, it's time to try check.
