Peter Stringfellow Becomes A Dad Again - At The Age Of 72

Nightclub owner Peter Stringfellow has become a father again at the age of 72 after his wife Bella, 31, gave birth to a girl.

Their daughter, Rosabella, was born at London's Portland Hospital this morning, weighing 6lb 6oz.

Peter said: "We are overwhelmed with love for her."

The businessman, who has two grown-up children, announced in February that he and Bella were expecting their first child.

Speaking at the time, he told the Daily Mirror: "My last child was born 48 years ago, so I'm up for the challenge.

''I know it's going to be tough so of course we'll have nannies - a night nanny, and a day nanny and a holiday nanny and an aeroplane nanny. I'm ready for the hardship.'

"I've also got four fantastic grandchildren and I spoil them rotten.

"I'm madly in love with all of them - but not the sort of grandfather that takes them to the park every Sunday."

Peter and Bella Wright met at Stringfellow's famous London club, which he opened in 1980. A convent school-educated, classically trained ballerina, Bella went one night with others dancers to wind down after a performance of The Nutcracker at the nearby Coliseum theatre.

Eight years on, in 2009 the pair were married in a ceremony on a Barbados beach when Bella was 27.
