Pheromone Parties: The Dating Firm That Uses Scent To Matchmake

Fed up with trying to find your perfect match through online dating sites? Maybe it's time you relied on science to do the work for you.

Pheromone Parties, a new dating firm, uses chemistry to help single guys and girls find their true love.

How does it work? The party guests are instructed to wear the same t-shirt in bed for three nights, then bring it with them to the event.

The t-shirt goes into a numbered bag and if someone is attracted to the scent of that shirt, they are matched with the person behind that number.

So it's all down to how you smell? Er, yes. And for some people, this is crucial when looking for a suitable date.

The BBC spoke to Claire Selby, a participant at a 'pheromone party' in East London.

"I think once you start dating someone or being serious about someone it has to be in the top three," she said.

"You can't sustain a relationship with someone who smells really bad - you can't!"

We totally agree, but whatever happened to using good old fashion conversation to find your match?
