Pregnant Kate Middleton Meets Scouts In The Snow

The Duchess of Cambridge and her bump braved the snow today to meet with Scout leaders in Cumbria.

Kate - who is around five months pregnant - is a volunteer with The Scout Association. She joined fellow adult volunteers as they trained to work with Beaver and Cub Scouts at the Great Tower Scout Camp near Newby Bridge.

The pregnant Duchess wore some rather pricey £300 wellies to troop through the snow, along with a red, white and blue neckerchief (nice touch, Kate).

Unfortunately there was no sign of the Baby on Board badge given to her by London Underground staff earlier this week. And she promised to wear it as well.

Kate sat and cooked over a campfire, before watching volunteers climb trees, keeping both feet, and her bump, firmly on he ground.

The Scout Association is hoping Kate's involvement will help encourage more adults to volunteer. There are currently 35,000 young people waiting to join.
