Prince George's Christening Date Announced

Prince George's christening will take place on Wednesday 23 October at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, it has been announced.

It will be the first time the Prince, born on July 22, will have been seen in public since his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, posed for photographs on the steps of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington the day after his birth.

No doubt, Royal baby watchers will be glued to their TVs for a glimpse of the royal's facial features and potential resemblances to his parents.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will christen the royal baby, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. The chapel is where - rather oddly - both Princess Beatrice and Elton John's son were christened too.

The royal's godparents have not been announced yet, but here are our frontrunners.
