Pubic Hair Grooming Related Injuries Have Soared, Says Report

Here's some news that might make you celebrate going er, au naturel down there. A team of doctors has discovered that injuries caused by pubic hair removal are on the rise. Ouch.

What with American Apparel's hairy mannequins, is this another sign that the trend for Brazilians is coming to an end?

This research suggests so. New Republic reports that Allison Glass and her team at the University of California studied data provided from emergency rooms on injuries caused by pubic hair grooming. Here are a few of the results published in the team's paper. They're alarming...

- Between 2002 and 2010, "the number of incidents increased fivefold."

- 56.7 of all incidents, which also included rashes and burns.

Wow. Surely this discovery is enough to put anyone off reaching for a razor?

Word of warning: be careful and don't end up in casualty.
