It has been confirmed that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the Superman sequel, Man of Steel. Although the film isn't due to be released until 2015, critics have already been giving Affleck a hard time about his new role (nothing says "wrong decision" like #BetterBatmanThatBenAffleck).
So - what better time to cast our minds back to 2003, when Affleck ticked superhero off his career to-do list.
Remember the film? You know - the one where Affleck played Matt "man without fear" Murdock aka the blind Daredevil. Here he is in the full red leather get-up:
Okay - the film wasn't exactly a big win at the box office (even though it cost an estimated $78 million to make) but on the plus side, Ben does have some superhero experience on his CV and as it turns out, this man can pull off a scull cap. That's got to come in handy for Batman.
