Week one of Cannes Film Festival 2014 is almost over but the one man we've all been waiting for has finally touched down.
Ryan Gosling attended a photocall to promote his directorial film debut Lost River in Cannes on Tuesday morning and yes, he worked that casual, South of France style better than any other guest so far.
Anyone hoping to see Gosling in a tux will have to wait for the premiere, but still, we're guessing the striped shirt with rolled-up sleeves and slightly scuffed shoes didn't bother the the fans waiting to see that wave down on the Croisette.
Gosling's girfriend and star in Lost River Eva Mendes was absent from the photocall. So he cosied up to Christina Hendricks, who plays the role of Billy in the film, instead.
Funnily enough, the Mad Men actress didn't seem to mind...
Matt Smith, who plays the character Bully, also posed alongside Gosling and Hendricks wearing a blazer, blue shirt and navy chinos.
There aren't many places a man can get away with wearing suede brogues without socks, but the French Riviera is one of them.
The film isn't due for release until October this year but you can see a sneak peek of the cast in action in the trailer below. (Unfortunately, Gosling isn't actually in it but it's still worth a watch...)
