Tantrums: To Ignore Or Not To Ignore?

Tantrums: To Ignore Or Not To Ignore?

Warning: if your child is perfect, don't read this.

My lovely Alfie is two and half and the Terrible Twos kicked in around 18 months. One year later he is still having tantrums morning, noon and night.

This morning it all kicked off because I turned the sound down on the IPad. But today I did something VERY DIFFERENT. Instead of trying to put him on time out, him running off, me putting him back, same over 50 times, I ignored him as he tried to attack me.

He may have turned a corner: 1-0 to mummy! Once he realised I was ignoring him that's when he wanted cuddles, kisses and Sowri Mummy, Sowri Mummy!

Alfie, be warned my gorgeous little boy! I've won the battle and will defo win the WAR! I'm refreshed and armed with my new tactic.

A stressed out working mummy to my devil two and half year old. Tantrums and screaming are common place, hectic days and laughter and cuddles are the highlights.
