Thandie Newton Turns Heads In Golden Eye Dress At Half Of A Yellow Sun Premiere

Thandie Newton looked radiant on the red carpet at the premiere of Half Of A Yellow Sun at the Odeon Streatham in South London on Tuesday night. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that Thandie only gave birth to her son Booker Jombe Parker four weeks ago. Yes - FOUR weeks. Talk about having a healthy, post-baby glow...

The 41-year-old actress kept her style simple in a little black dress with a golden eye motif by London-based designer Osman. Matching metallic stilettos, a navy clutch and a touch of glossy rose lipstick were all she needed to complete this look.

Thandie was joined by her co-star in the film, Chiwetel Ejiofor. Yes, it's the first time we've seen him since he was up for the Best Actor award at the Oscars and yep, he was wearing a shimmering purple tie - but even that wasn't enough to keep all eyes off the new mum.

In an interview with the London Evening Standard, Thandie spoke about working with her friend Ejiofor again.

"This is our third time playing lovers, I think we finally got it right," she said.

"I've known him for many years, I worked with him on his first film 13 years ago.

"This was a deeply personal film for him and I thought I knew him but I realised while we were shooting that I was getting to know him in a whole different way."

Want to see Thandie and Chiwetel's new movie? Half Of A Yellow Sun is released in cinemas on 11 April.
