This Lipstick Is Made From Chocolate

Behold the first ever edible lipstick, brought to you by Cadbury. Yes, it can be used on your lips and yes, you can eat this vanilla and chocolate-flavoured Crispello makeup.

We're not sure if this idea is pure genius or just plain weird, but still, you've got to admire the famous confectionary brand for originality.

So, where did the concept come from? Cadbury teamed up with Bompass & Parr - their website tells us they're "leaders in flavour based experience design, culinary research, architectural installations and contemporary food design" - to create a one-of-a-kind product.

A lipstick version of Crispello - the chocolate treat launched by Cadbury in 2013 - was the result.

"Inspired by delicious Crispello ingredients, the lipstick is based on the Crispello light textured vanilla mousse, crispy wafer shell and the essence of creamy Cadbury milk chocolate for a delicious natural colour combination," the brand told us.

Sandra Ferreira from the brand's Research and Development team added, "The light textured, cheeky feel of Cadbury Crispello makes it a great chocolate to use to create a little pick me up in the form of a chocolate lipstick combine with a lipstick!"

There's no word yet on when the Crispello lipstick is launching, but fingers crossed it makes its way into shops soon...
