Valentine's Day is this Friday and what better way to say "I love you modern day other half" than with a card that reads:
There is nobody else I'd rather lie in bed and look at my phone next to.
YES, this greeting card is a real thing and yes, this is modern day romance. Inspired by Emily McDowell, of Emily McDowell Illustrated Etsy shop, this Valentine's Day card is completely honest about how we spend time together with our partners. On our iPhone, Tweeting and Instagramming. But totally in sync.
Emily explains that: "I had 100 copies of one Valentine card printed that I'd written, based on what I felt was a universal experience all of us have had at one point in our lives.
"I put it in my Etsy shop, not knowing what would happen, figuring I'd sell a few. Etsy put it on their Facebook page, and I hate using the phrase 'went viral' but it went viral. I shipped over 1,600 individual copies of that card to customers in 8 days"
There's a reason why this card was a total sell out - Emily's message was spot on. Sad but true.
