This Week You Should Try... Marks &Amp; Spencer's £5 Creamy Coconut Body Butter

Summer tends to mean throwing away those black opaques and wearing, in general, a lot less.

While winter allows us to huddle under jumpers, long sleeves and scarves, summer demands a much more skin-showing approach to fashion. Which can be scary. Terrifying actually - not to mention expensive.

Fear not. If you'd rather spend your cash on a new summer wardrobe than a bathroom full of high-end lotions, good old Marks & Spencer has got just the product for you: its £5 Creamy Coconut Body Butter.

I wouldn't normally get evangelical about a moisturiser but recently I find myself in the position of being obsessed with all things skin nourishing.

Not only have I taken up swimming (what is it about chlorine that results in all over tightness?) but I'm also pregnant and my future son seems to have sapped all my natural oils to make eyes and the like.

In short, from my forehead to the soles of my feet, I'm dry. Where others glow, my skin flakes and peels in a reptilian manner except rather than having a shiny new body underneath, it's just more parched skin. I've tried buckets of products hoping perhaps just one would replicate my pre-pregnancy, pre-swimmer skin, but it has been hopeless.

That is, until I discovered M&S' miracle coconut body butter. Not only is it cheap, but it has a dense waxy reassuring consistency that melts in warm hands and leaves a lovely sheen on the skin even after it has fully absorbed.

Also, it smells divine - like summers spent on beaches in the south of France. Don't get me wrong, it won't overpower your Tom Ford, but it has that delicious tickle of sweetness only someone lucky enough to have a decent amount of proximity will enjoy.

Is this a summer must-have? Yes - for home and holiday, this big round of butter (did I mention you get loads for your money?) will always come in handy plus you'll find it in pretty much every M&S in the UK.

Cheap, easy to get your hands on and really, really good - I couldn't recommend it more.
