A toddler died after his granddad accidentally reversed over him with a ride-on lawn mower.
Jack Joseph Kelley was playing in his garden Ferndale, Washington, US while his 67-year-old grandfather cut the grass.
The mower backed over the boy – who was going to be two years old in a few days time - killing him instantly.
Sheriff Bill Elfo said: "It's what appears to be a tragic, freak accident."
No-one has been arrested. Police believe the grandfather had been visiting the boy's parents at their home when the accident happened.
The little boy had at least two older siblings, a brother and sister.
