Toddler Dies In Hot Car While Parents Attend Funeral

A three-year-old boy has died after being left alone in a hot car while his parents attended a funeral.

Police officers in Tampa Bay, Florida, are investigating the circumstances of Kyrese Dwayne Anderson's death on Saturday afternoon, but say that no charges have currently been filed.

It is thought that the boy had been left in the car by accident after his parents took two vehicles to attend the funeral. They had arranged to separately drop the toddler and two other children at a babysitter's house ahead of the event in Palmetto.

The Miami Herald reports that both the parents went to the funeral thinking that all three children were with the babysitter.

The child was discovered inside one of their cars as they were leaving the funeral three hours later.

An autopsy is due to be carried out on the toddler today.
