Was Kate Middleton Invited To Kim Kardashian's Wedding?

Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West wasn't exactly a low-key event. (The couple flew guests from a pre-wedding party at the Palace of Versailles in Paris to Italian landmark Fort Belvedere in Florence for their nuptials on Saturday.)

Guests included Chrissy Teigen, rapper Common, magician David Blaine, designer Rachel Roy and Vogue's Andre Leon Talley but one famous face who wasn't there (and was probably never going to be) was the Duchess of Cambridge.

However, recent reports suggest Kim did invite the duchess to celebrate with her in Italy and last week, Kim's wedding dress was said to be a copy of Kate's lace Alexander McQueen bridal gown.

Since the wedding on Saturday, we now know Kim opted for a Givenchy haute couture design but Twitter commentators have suggested it was definitely inspired by Kate's style.

Whether Kim invited the duchess or not, it looked as though her wedding day caused enough of a stir in the Italian hilltop fort without the addition of a royal showing up.

The Daily Star reported the extravagant weekend cost a massive $18million - that's just over £10 million.

With the celebrations in Italy over, the newlyweds are now enjoying a five-day honeymoon in Ireland.

Only five days? Yep, but doubt these two will be slumming it.
