The 39-year-old sports star accepted the challenge from US TV host Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday and showed his support for the Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Association - a charity which is raising money to combat Lou Gehrig's disease.
Beckham was quick to nominate a few more celebrity names. He put forward Leonardo DiCaprio (good choice) and basketball stars Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan to either take on the challenge or donate $100 each (around £60) to the ALS charity.
Hugh Jackman also joined Beckham in the challenge on Tuesday after his Les Misérables co star Russell Crowe gave him the nod to take it on.
36-year-old actress Zoe Saldana was also nominated, but the Avatar actress encouraged her husband Marco Perego to join in on her behalf as she's currently four months pregnant.
"I nominate my husband to take on the challenge, and get rinsed by a nice bucket of ice water," she said in the video.
Earlier this week, Britney Spears, Kate Upton, Rita Ora and Jennifer Lopez all shared their ice bucket videos.
If you're going to watch one, make it Lady Gaga's. The singer filmed it in a dominatrix style one-piece and black lipstick. Of course she did.
