Rita Ora To Replace Kylie Minogue On The Voice

When Kylie Minogue announced she was leaving The Voice after just one series in April, the question of who would be next to join the judging panel was left unanswered.

However, if the latest rumours are to be believed, Rita Ora will be replacing Kylie on the new series of the BBC talent show.

The Daily Mirror reports 23-year-old Rita is expected to sit alongside will.i.am, Ricky Wilson and Tom Jones next year.

"Rita is the pop star of the moment, the Beeb are delighted," a source told the newspaper. "They think she's going to be a ratings hit and even more popular than Kylie."

The Mirror alleges BBC bosses have agreed a "six-figure deal" with Rita after she turned down a £1 million offer from Simon Cowell to join the X Factor.

"It has taken months of negotiations but Rita is happy and thinks the show is a much better fit for her than the X Factor," the source added.

"She'll still be able to get on with her music and it won't take over her life as much as the X Factor."

The current judges are said to be excited about the new recruit too.

"It is pretty set in stone that Will, Ricky and Tom will return," said the source. "They are very much up for being on the panel and they've all met Rita, so they are delighted."

Fans of the 'How We Do' singer shouldn't get their hopes up just yet, though.

"It is too early to confirm speculation. An announcement will be made in due course," a spokesperson for the BBC said.

We think Rita would be a great fit for the show, don't you think?
