While Beyoncé was responsible for making everyone in the audience cry at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki Minaj provided the shock-factor.
The 31-year-old singer rapper and former American Idol judge joined Jessie J and Ariana Grande on stage to sing 'Bang Bang' in what was probably her most sensible outfit of the night - a curve-hugging little black dress.
It was a safe dress choice from the girl who made headlines for twerking in a pink g-string - until it split right down the middle.
Minaj did her best to hide the malfunction by holding the dress together - but she just looked a little, er, awkward as she walked around hoping no one would notice.
Still - at least she had THREE other outfits to fall back on during the night.
She performed her latest hit 'Anaconda' in this sequin bra and matching green pants number...
And changed into this fur waistcoat, white jeans and high-tops ensemble for her duet with Usher...
But Minaj started the night by arriving in this snakeskin mini dress teamed with cream platform heels. She didn't exactly look happy about wearing it either...
At least she left her snakes at home.
TMZ reports Minaj's 'Anaconda' rehearsals were brought to a halt over the weekend when a six-foot long boa constrictor (intended to be part of the performance) bit one of her backing dancers. Ouch.
