Radamel Falcao To Manchester United In £51.3m Transfer

Which Club Has Agreed To Sign Falcao?

Manchester United have agreed a £51.3 million fee for the transfer of Radamel Falcao, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has been linked with numerous clubs this summer but Colombian newspaper El Tiempo report they have "been assured" Falcao will move from Monaco to Manchester.

Falcao only joined Monaco from Atlético Madrid last year

Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester City have all enquired about Falcao this summer, however Real will bring Javier Hernández in on loan, Arsenal's priority is a centre-back and financial fair play restrictions have apparently ended City's interest.

Although the defence and midfield require strengthening, signing Falcao would represent a major coup for United if they can convince the Colombia international to play outside the Champions League for a fourth successive season.

Danny Welbeck could also leave the club before the end of the day, which would leave Van Gaal with teenager James Wilson to support Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney, although Ángel di María and Adnan Januzaj could play further forward.

Daley Blind is expected to complete his move to United today.
