A student emailed her professor to politely inform him she wouldn't be attending class. Why? Because it was "the Goddess that is Queen Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's birthday".

Ja-Niece Best, a graphic design student in the US, then tweeted her email.

Naturally, it went viral.

It seems it's not the first time the world-famous singer has affected Best's academic life either..

The student told Buzzfeed: "I love and respect Beyoncé so much. I’ve loved her for fifteen years! Her music, her work ethic, her success at such a young age. But what I love most about her is her humbleness. Throughout all of the success she still remains a well-grounded sweet country girl and has never become big headed."

Hats off to you, Ja-Niece.
