Mark Cavendish will continue in the Tour of Britain despite suffering a heavy crash on Sunday.
The Team Sky rider still managed to finish third in the opening stage of the race which was held in Liverpool
Cavendish said: "I had to change my cleats at the beginning of the stage.

"I was coming back after and I was behind a car. Someone had to stop for a puncture so the car slammed on its brakes, and there was an island in the road.
"If I went right, I would hit a traffic island, so I went left and I whacked another car. I hit it with my left leg and I was down on the road."
The Doctor added: "He has hurt his leg hitting the mechanic and car ,but it was not really necessary to go to hospital."
The race will go on to follow a further seven stages around the country, while huge crowds and thousand of spectators lined the streets of London to watch and support some of the world most famous cyclists in the race which began in the city centre,sweeping past the building known as Liverpool's three Graces.
The tour will cross North Wales today on day two of the UK's biggest professional cycling race.
The race is due to finish in London next sunday.
The Monday's stage of the tour will end up in Llandudno.
On Tuesday competitors will race through Powys From Newtown before finishing the top of the Blorenge mountain in Monmouthshire which is known as the Tumble provides one of the steepest and difficult challenges for cyclists.
