J.Crew's new-season collections are always something to look forward to and the brand's Spring/Summer 2015 collection, presented at New York Fashion Week, didn't disappoint.
Tom Mora, head of J.Crew women's design, told USA Today he was bringing a holiday feel to Spring/Summer's designs, which were inspired by Peruvian and Mexican textiles and the designer's recent trip to Ibiza.
The go-anywhere palette of white, denim and khaki had pops of moss green, bright and pale blue and yellow, and the brand showcased its signature, quirky mix of unexpected pieces worn together.
Our favourite combos? A crisp white button-down teamed with a fringed gold beaded midi-skirt, an oversized anorak worn with a delicate gold pencil skirt and a linen Breton striped vest paired with a cropped raw denim jacket and embellished shorts with a colour-changing "Aurora Borealis" smattering of sequins.
Other key looks for spring? Culotte trousers, boy blazers, comfy-looking shirtdresses and day-to-night 'couture mesh' fabrics, which updated the classic white button-down and gave shorts office-to-evening mileage. We also loved the sporty stripes and double-strap detailing on the mesh and leather clutches, our new-season handbag must-have.
Can we have everything?
