Apple iPhone 6: UK Price, Release Date And Network Availability

Here's How Much The iPhone 6 Will Cost

Apple has a brand-new iPhone. The iPhone 6 is official and with a UK release date of the 19 September you won't have long to wait before you can get your hands on one.

In fact you can pre-order it today. At least you would be able to but Apple's website has gone down under the sheer weight of the traffic. Both O2, Vodafone and EE are reporting that their websites are down as well.

So where can you pre-order the iPhone 6? Well Three, Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse are all up and running.

Of course the next question everyone will want to know is how much will it cost? Apple's iPhone has always been classed as a premium smartphone and as such it carries a premium price tag.

Well as you'll see below there's good news and bad news as the iPhone 6 will range from the pricey-but-affordable to the downright eye-watering.

Here's Apple's official UK pricing for the iPhone 6:

iPhone 6

  • £539 (£449.17 ex VAT) for the 16GB model
  • £619 (£515.83 ex VAT) for the 64GB model
  • £699 (£582.50 ex VAT) for the 128GB model

iPhone 6 Plus

  • £619 (£515.83 ex VAT) for the 16GB model
  • £699 (£582.50 ex VAT) for the 64GB model
  • £789 (£657.50 ex VAT) for the 128GB model

What networks will sell the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus?

It should go without saying that all the major networks will be selling the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus but just so we're clear here are the networks that have officially confirmed:

All of the networks will be stocking both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on the release date of 19 September and you'll also be able to go to each network and register you interest.

If you're not keen to go through the network directly (or they've just sold out) then both Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse have confirmed they'll stock the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from day one.

Giff Gaff has confirmed it'll sell the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus unlocked along with their Goody Bag plans so if you're looking to get an iPhone 6 at a competitive price and with none of the strings then this might be the deal for you.

How much are the iPhone 6 pay monthly plans?

Well despite launching in the UK in a little over a week neither Apple or the networks are dishing any info on iPhone 6 pay monthly plans but as soon as we know we'll update this post.

Virgin Media has confirmed that while it can't give any pricing details it will be offering the iPhone 6 to all their cable customers with £10 off your monthly contract which is certainly no to be sniffed at.

For now though we'd expect almost every network to offer the base 16GB model for free on a two-year contract on the understanding that you'll be paying a serious monthly premium.

For the 64GB and 128GB models however you can expect prices to be much higher with the likelihood being that you won't be able to buy one for free on contract.
