If you fancy your chances with Kylie Minogue then you might want to get those images of gold hotpants and raunchy dance routines out of your head (ahem) because the singer has revealed that she's rather different to her sexy public image.

In a revealing new interview with ES magazine, the 46-year-old star - who split from her Spanish model boyfriend, Andres Velencoso a year ago - says she's the total opposite of her on stage persona.

"If I go on a date with anyone, I tend to take things the other way," she said.
"I won't present the hyper-sexualised side of my character; in fact, I play up to a persona that is the total opposite.
"And for anyone to have the remotest chance with me, they have to understand that wanting to be with that side of things - that celebrity Kylie - is not going to work.
"What's the Rita Hayworth line? 'They go to bed with Gilda but wake up with me...'"
But despite being single for the last twelve months, Kylie - who has previously been in relationships with actor Olivier Martinez, model James Gooding and INXS frontman Michael Hutchence - revealed she's dating again.
"It took me about a year [to begin dating]," she said. "For a while, I didn't want anything or anyone. I just wanted to be on my own. And then, a few little sparks here and there. It's fun."
