Take A Look Inside Joan Rivers' $35Million Apartment...

Throughout her 81 years, Joan Rivers made no secret of the fact that she appreciated the finer things in life, and it turns out this extended to her home, as you can tell from these photos of her lavish New York apartment.

With a quick glance at some of the photos, it’s obvious that the overall theme when it came to Joan’s attitude to interior decorating was “luxury”, with gold plating, velvet seats, crystal chandeliers and marble statues as far as the eye can see.

Besides her expensive tastes, Joan’s family-oriented nature also shines through in the photos, with one of them showing a grand piano covered in photographs of her loved ones.

It also becomes apparent just how seriously Joan took her comedy.

Rooms in her home were covered in files labelled “jokes to mark”, while piles of flashcards can also be seen bearing headings such as “drunk” and “young men/old women”, as reported by The Mirror.

Hugh Jackman has revealed that he’d been asked by Joan to perform the song ‘Quiet Please, There’s A Lady On Stage’ at her funeral, after she’d seen him perform it in concert years earlier.

Meanwhile, in 2013, a year before her death, the controversial comedian joked about her dream “Hollywood” funeral in her book ‘I Hate Everyone’, writing: “I want to look gorgeous, better dead than I do alive.

“And I want a wind machine so that even in the casket my hair is blowing just like Beyoncé’s.”
