An outraged mum swears she has heard her daughter's talking Barbie doll say: "What the f***?"

Talina Evans, 25, couldn't believe her ears when she heard seven-year-old Demileigh's toy blurt out the swear word.

The Talkin' Barbie, which has several voice-activated buttons on her belt, appears to sing something inaudible before screeching the shocking phrase.

Talina, from Caenarfon, North Wales, said she immediately took the toy, made by Mattel, from her daughter and demanded an explanation from her local Home Bargains store.

The doll is programmed to say 15 different phrases, including 'Amaze', 'I love a makeover', 'There is no substitute for glitter', and 'To the salon!'. Oh dear.

But Talina, who is pregnant with her second child, said she claims the doll with the unfeasible figure also swear.

According to the Mail, the doll is actually programmed to say 'Off the hook' but, because of an unfortunate sound problem, it has been misheard by a number of customers as the expletive.

Talina said: "A friend of ours picked up the toy and I heard it say 'what the f**k' loud and clear, I was so shocked. We just told Demileigh that the doll had been bad and was swearing so it had to go.

"She was disappointed, of course, but she understood that it is wrong to swear and so the doll had to go. "I'm not the only one who has heard it.

"You can hear it loud and clear, it definitely says 'what the f***'." Mattel has so far not commented.
