'Star Wars' House Is Actually Pretty Beautiful

No, That's No Accident

No, that's not an accident.

The house below (left) does look just like a Sandcrawler from Star Wars.

That's the point.

The house was designed by Moon Hoon, a South Korean architect who deliberately wanted to evoke the feel and look of architecture from Star Wars in its building.

There are elements of lots of Star Wars icons in the building, from the Death Star grey colour to the asymetrical design, which Fast Co Design says is intended to evoke the moisture farms of Tatooine.

The house is dense but tall, and has an open play room at the top which the architects describe as "a place high up that could be a control room for the future darth vader or a jedi."

As a whole the house is designed to be economical too, not taking up much land or space.
