Sharon Osbourne has revealed deep scars on one of her wrists - the result of her cutting herself to 'prove her love' to husband Ozzy Osbourne at the start of their relationship.
The 61-year-old left her co-hosts on the US panel show 'The Talk' speechless after she uncovered the marks for the first time, revealing that not even her own children knew how they came about.

The former 'X Factor' judge says she used a 'dirty steak knife' to slash one of her wrists during a heavy drinking session at a hotel with her husband 34 years ago.
"This is a secret only Ozzy and I know, my children I have never told.
"I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to do such a thing to myself.
"I want to share this with everyone because it's a lesson learned. I learned a great lesson from this.
"It's something that was done when I was 27. I was just going out with Ozzy at the time and we were working together and dating at the same time."

"He was married, had two children. I was free and single and wild," she continued. "When we first got together, we would drink a lot together. We had a session, romance, drinking, partying. About four in the morning, he says, 'How much do you really love me? I don't know if this relationship is going to last.'
"And I'm saying to him, 'I'd do anything for you. I absolutely adore you. I'd give my life for you.'
"I'm very dramatic as you all know, and when I say something I like to follow it through. I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you.'
"So I went to a room service table that was still in the room covered in fries and burgers and steak. And there was a steak knife. So I get the knife and I go, 'I love you so much,' slash, slash, slash on my wrist.
"Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I said, 'Dear, I think we need to call an ambulance.' I got very sober very quickly."

Sharon went on to reveal that medical staff thought she'd attempted suicide, despite Sharon telling them what had actually happened.
"They took me to the hospital... in Indianapolis somewhere on a tour," she explained. "They put me on lockdown with the psych ward. There was nothing anybody could do.
"Ozzy and I weren't married. It was up to doctors to decide whether I was of sound mind to come out. That's very hard for me to prove," she joked.
"So if anybody out there likes to cut or harm themselves or try to prove to someone...These scars are a big embarrassment.
"I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog, which I was. I was attacked by a Doberman but it was the other arm and they're bite marks.
"No, dirty steak knife, trying to be dramatic. The scars don't go away, they stay with you. And it's like, grow up. It's sad, pathetic of a 61-year-old... it's a reminder."
