Kids' football team completely fail at celebratory banner run

A glorious moment from a children's football game has been captured on camera.

A winning goal? Man of the match award?

No, no – BETTER!

In the clip, the American footie team - who are about to thrash their opponents 24-0 – attempt to make a run through a banner, held in place by proud parents.

But all does not go to plan, as the young members of the team – one by one and then in glorious batches – bounce off the banner instead of smashing through it.

Story continues after the video

According to Huff Post Parents, the Wallkill New York Mighty Mites' head coach James Cracolici posted the video to YouTube without sound, but another user made the fabulous decision to set the hilarity to the 'Chariots of Fire' music.

Sterling work.

And congratulations, team! You may suck at celebrating but you certainly know how to play football.
