Although no pictures of the bride and groom have yet been released, Katherine shared news of her "special day" on Twitter on Saturday afternoon, writing: "Thank you for all your love & support. It's already been such a special day & wanted to share my happiness with you xxx."

The mezzo-soprano singer from Neath said 'I do' to the New York filmmaker and artist at 6pm when the Welsh flag was raised over the venue.

According to Wales Online, the couple had a Christian and Jewish ceremony in the Banqueting House before an evening reception in the venue's Great Hall.

Family and friends were seen arriving at the venue on Saturday, with bridesmaids wearing dusky pink halter neck gowns.

It is believed Katherine's vicar from St David's Church in Neath, Reverend Canon Stephen J Ryan, travelled all the way to London to see her marry.

Katherine made her first public appearance with Andrew back in March when he accompanied her as she received an OBE at Buckingham Palace.

Big congrats to the happy couple.

Of course, Katherine was not the only celebrity to marry on Saturday. Over in Venice, George Clooney tied the knot with his British lawyer bride Amal Alamuddin in a star-studded ceremony attended by the likes of Matt Damon and Cindy Crawford.
