Lynda Bellingham has thanked fans for their support in an open letter sent to her former co-stars on ‘Loose Women’, following the devastating revelation over the weekend that she has terminal cancer.
Ruth Langsford told viewers that Lynda - who she said was “still very upbeat”, despite her sad news - hadn’t been allowed to make a phone call to the studio while she was having chemotherapy, but had sent them an email instead.

Lynda’s heartfelt message said: “Hi all you gorgeous ladies speaking from my lovely chemo chair sucking up the drugs!
"Thank you so much for the support you have no idea how much it means to me. But please understand I am in a good place.”
The much-loved actress went on to pass on some advice to viewers, saying: “Grasp it all, don't be afraid, enjoy the bits you can and tell your family you love them while you have the chance.”
Meanwhile, Coleen Nolan and Ruth revealed that Lynda’s decision not to continue her chemotherapy put them in mind of Coleen’s sister, Bernie, who sadly died after a lengthy cancer battle last July.
Coleen explained that Lynda’s choice meant that she had time to spend with her loved ones, adding: “You can say everything you want to say.”
Lynda broke the news that her cancer was terminal in an extract from her forthcoming autobiography, ‘There's Something I've Been Dying To Tell You’, which was published in a Sunday newspaper over the weekend.
