Epson just announced something potentially awesome: a printer that doesn't need ink cartridges.
Their new EcoTank printers come packed with enough ink to produce 4,000 pages in black and 6,500 in colour. Epson said that's two years of ink based on normal usage.
And you don't have to replace it if you never hit that limit.
Wow.
If you DO need to refill the tanks, you can buy ink bottles (£7.99) and fill it up yourself. There's no packaging and no waste.

The two printers - L555 and L355 - are available at Dixons Carphone's various stores and online for £329 and £249.
They've been around in other countries for a while, but it's the first time we've had the benefit here in the UK.
