Stoptober: What Happens To Your Body When You Quit Smoking

What Happens To Your Body When You Stop Smoking

A new survey to mark the month of Stoptober, has revealed the whopping sums we spend on cigarettes a year. The average smoker will smoke 13 cigarettes a day which equates to £4,745 each year. However, if that doesn't make you falter when reaching for a cigarette, perhaps the realities of the physical effects may do.

Although there are plenty of systems and support networks to help smokers stub out their cigarette once and for all, many buckle under strains of withdrawal and are unable to resist lighting up again.

Perhaps understanding how giving up fags directly affects the body - for the better and as soon as 20 minutes after the last puff - will help.
