The Great British Bake Off has just received another accolade. Aside from sparking a rise in bomber jacket sales (thanks, Mary Berry) the BBC show has also inspired young Brits to cook.
In fact, it seems Mary and Paul Hollywood's talk of bouncy brioche and biscuit towers has turned viewers baking crazy.
According to research conducted by Panasonic Breadmakers, 79 people in this age group have been inspired to bake cakes. A further 66 have tried pies and tarts.
