‘X Factor’ hopeful Stephanie Nala has hit back at Twitter trolls, who have been sending her abusive messages since she was saved in Sunday night’s live show.

Stephanie was heavily criticised by the judges for her rendition of ‘Everything I Own’ on Saturday night, with Simon Cowell telling her: “When you want an ice cream sundae and you get sorbet, it is kind of disappointing. And that's what it felt like.”

Her “disappointing” performance landed her a place in the sing-off alongside the newly-renamed boyband Overload Generation, though she was saved after Simon branded the group “shockingly bad” and told them he had “absolutely no belief” in them.
Overload Generation’s loyal fanbase were predictably upset with Stephanie staying in the competition in their place, and have since been bombarding her with upsetting messages, which apparently include death threats.
The singer, who first found success as part of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ finalists The Luminites, has now publicly responded to her online abusers, pleading with them: “Stop telling me to die.”
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who mentors Stephanie in the competition, has since admitted that the sing-off of was a “wake up call” for them both, stating on 'The Xtra Factor': “She's one of those artists that's so distinctive, if you get it wrong, you really get it wrong.”
The 14 remaining ‘X Factor’ acts will be performing a range of '80s hits in next weekend’s live shows, which will also include performances from Maroon 5 and Jessie J.
