'Wormhole' Opens In Norway Or Just Stunning Aurora Photo

'Wormhole' Opens Above Norway

NASA's photo of the day has to be one of the best we've seen in recent months showing what looks like a 'wormhole' opening over the Norwegian islands of Kvaløya.

Sadly this isn't the 'Interstellar' plot coming to fruition, instead it's simply something known as an auroral corona which is caused by the angle at which the solar radiation hits the atmosphere of the planet.

Taken by Harald Albrigtsen, the aurora has been getting more and more media coverage after astronaut Reid Wiseman reignited our love of the phenomenon by sharing his own excitement at seeing it from the International Space Station.
