Wonder Woman Costume: How To Get The Superhero Look This Halloween

Yes, there are those classic scary Halloween costumes (zombie school girl, ghost bride, Morticia Adams) but going as a superhero works like a charm every time.

And by superhero, we mean Wonder Woman aka Princess Diana of Themyscira best played by Lynda Carter in the 1970s TV series.

All you need to do to channel your inner Wonder Woman is buy a few key things and practice some bad-ass twirling.

First off, a red bustier (ideally with gold embellishment), blue lycra hotpants and knee-high boots are essential. You can of course customise a red bandeau top/bikini and go OTT with stars on your shorts.

Then there's those all-important accessories that, when paired with superhuman powers, will take your Halloween get-up to another level.

Think a 'Lasso of Truth' (for tying up baddies), a pair of indestructible bracelets and a gold tiara. Oh, and a red satin cape to enhance the power of flight.

Given that Wonder Woman's location was Paradise Island you will probably need to consider a fake tan (who has a natural one this time of year?) or just go heavy on the blusher front.

Then you need a perfectly-lined, plump red lip and big bouffant hair for really WOW results.
