This App Solves Maths Problems Instantly By Using The Camera

This app might be the biggest headache for teachers since the invention of the calculator watch. It's called photomath and using the iPhone's camera it can intelligently solve maths equations written on a page.

The app works by looking at the numbers and symbols and then identifying them as a specific type of equation, the phone then does all the calculations and the answer appears in front of you.

Even more impressive is the fact that it does all of this in real-time, in much the same way that modern translating apps are able to convert real text into the language equivalent in just seconds.

The app can recognise arithmetic expressions, fractions and decimals, powers and roots and simple linear equations and the developers are promising more to be added over time.

So when can you get this wonder app? Well you can download the iOS and Windows Phone versions now with Android promised for 2015 (bet you've never read that sentence before).
