Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien has named her new baby son Beau.

Beau was born at the end of October, and is Tina's second child – her first with partner Adam Crofts, 27. Tina and her former Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas have a five-year-old daughter called Scarlett.

Tina and Adam revealed their name choice to OK! magazine. According to the Parentdish baby name finder, Beau is of French origin, meaning 'handsome'. It is also the name of Emma Bunton's son with her long-term partner Jade Jones.

Tina used hypnobirthing during her labour and Beau's birth. She told the magazine: "It was crazy. We went to sleep on Thursday night and by 10.30am the next morning, we were home with our gorgeous 7lb 8oz baby boy.

"'I had no pain relief, not even a paracetamol or gas and air. It [hypnobirthing] teaches you to turn everything into a positive."

Tina – who played teen mum Sarah-Louise in Corrie – is due to return to the cobbles next year, when Sarah-Lou comes back to the street with her now-teenage daughter, Bethany.

Speaking about her return, Tina said it was 'dream come true':

"To work on such a great show is a dream come true! I feel so lucky. It's just come at the right time and the reaction from people has been so positive."

Congratulations, both! And welcome back Tina...

The new issue of OK! magazine is out now.
