Sadly, those days are over.
The 28-year-old Twilight star has been experimenting with hipster hairstyles this week - and considering he was known (and loved) for his full-head of disheveled locks, it's a very strange move.
First, he shaved his head - but is that rat-tail we spy under his baseball cap?
Pattinson was seen with the new style on a night out with his girlfriend, singer FKA Twigs, in New York City on Monday.
Just days later, Robert showed off his usual mop of red-tinged hair at the annual Go Go Gala in Los Angeles. This time? He jazzed things up with an undercut. Oh, and the half mohawk, half rat-tail was still there.
Clearly, R-Patz has been inspired by his love interest's edgy style. The couple have been dating since September and it sounds like things could be getting serious.
A source told The Sun Robert is planning on relocating back to London so he can be closer to his British girlfriend.
"Rob has finally found the property for him. He's pretty serious with FKA Twigs so he''ll be able to see her all the time when he's got his own place," said the source.
How romantic.
