Then there’s Robert Pattinson, who’s found love with the Mercury Prize-nominated FKA Twigs .
And, of course, there were the celebrity weddings. While George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s swish Venice ceremony was well-documented, Cheryl Cole managed to wed her unknown boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in secret in July, while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie slipped under the radar with their small ceremony in France.
Sadly, not all of the new couples have lasted and for some, the party’s already over.
