'Spider Man' Gloves Now A Reality

These Gloves Will Let You Climb Buildings Like 'Spider Man'

Researchers at Stanford University have developed a revolutionary silicon-based 'Spider Man' glove which allows a human being to climb up a flat vertical surface like glass.

For years researchers have been trying to find the secret of creating a glove that'll allow a human to climb like a gecko.

The gecko uses thousands of tiny hairs on the surface of its feet which then create the forces needed to 'glue' the foot and the wall together.

Weighing in at over 70kg and using just two pads little larger than gloves the researcher was able to climb over 3m safely with 100s of successful tests.

It's hoped that the team will be able to perfect their creation with the ultimate aim being to create a silicon-based surface which can completely replicate the ease with which 'Spider Man' can climb.
