‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega has hit back at his critics, saying that those uncomfortable with seeing a black actor playing a Stormtrooper would have to “get used to it”.

The trailer for the seventh film in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise, ‘The Force Awakens’, was unveiled last week, with John being one of the only human actors shown.
Shortly after the trailer was unveiled, #BlackStormtrooper became one of the top trending topics on Twitter, with some users - we think they might be called racists - taking the opportunity to hit out at the decision to cast a black actor in such a prominent role.

However, over the weekend, John had a clear message for his detractors, insisting that if they have a problem with him, they would need to get over it pretty quickly.
First of all, he posted a message of gratitude to the ‘Star Wars’ fans who had praised the new trailer, saying: “Thank you for all the love and support!
“I’m in the movie but as a ‘Star Wars’ fan I am very excited! A year is a long time but it will be worth the wait.”
As an after-thought, he added: “To whom it may concern… get used to it.”
The new preview clip also features a voiceover from what many believed to be Benedict Cumberbatch, it’s since been reported that it is actually Andy Serkis.
As well as new actors such as ‘Girls’ actor Adam Driver and Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o, ‘Star Wars Episode VII’ will also feature old stars from the original films, such as Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, reprising their iconic sci-fi roles.
