Jimmy Leaves The Jungle

Jimmy Bullard has become the first campmate to leave the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle, during Monday night’s live elimination.

The former footballer’s fellow contestants reacted with disbelief, following Ant and Dec’s announcement that he had received the least votes over Melanie Sykes, Tinchy Stryder and Carl Fogarty, and would therefore be leaving camp.

Despite telling the rest of the celebs that he wasn’t surprised to be leaving, Jimmy revealed that he was disappointed to have not been able to be the first out, explaining: “I wanted to stay a bit longer. I was a little bit gutted, but like I said yesterday I was struggling with my hunger.”

Jimmy had originally been one of the favourites to win the show, but viewers appeared to turn on him after they claimed that his “banter” towards Jake Quickenden was verging on “bullying” rather than harmless fun, particularly when he branded him a “lanky piece of s***” during a row.

When quizzed about whether he felt that this was the case, Jimmy admitted: “I didn’t [think it was too much], that is what I was all about.

“I get what you are saying, but with Jake and Foggy I could go that deep. I couldn’t go that deep with Michael. Jake and Foggy I could let them have it full blast. I thought I could anyway.

He even went as far as saying he’d like to see Jake win the show, claiming: “It would be great for him.”
